Okay.......I'm back. I've been out for awhile. Life is a funny thing. One day everything is going well and suddenly something happens and turns your entire world upside down. My mom is quite ill right now and we've been back and forth making sure she gets the care she needs. We brought her out to Duke University for about nine days, and they took really good care of her. She's comfortable now, but we're just waiting on a pathalogy report so we can take the next step. Please keep her in your prayers..........I have recently discovered that I'm not in my twenties any longer when I just about broke my ankle a couple of weeks ago. Long story short, I basically did a "gainer" jumping off my porch trying to avoid some bees (which I happen to be allergic). I thought I would do the manly thing and tough it out and continue on with my life as if nothing happened. After a day of walking on it my foot closely resembled a giant pig's foot that had liquid fire boiling in it. The ED docs told me how stupid I was and put me in a cast to keep my off it. I'm about 90% now. I've actually jogged twice this week. I'm just going to take it easy and realize that I'm almost 34 and not 24. My little girl has her first dance recital tomorrow. She's really excited. It should be a fun time. She's been showing me her dance moves for several weeks now so we'll see her shine tomorrow. Anyway, that's all for now...............Audi 5000

It's good to see that the Seasteads are on board with the Hillbillie's blog.....We're going through a big renovation to our house right now which kind of blows, but we've got to get it done. I think we probably bought the weirdest house in the neighborhood which is alway great for re-sale...:)) We've changed a lot of stuff and now are just adding the finishing touches. My plan is not to have any issues out of it when we sell in a couple of years. I'll keep my fingers crossed.....The weather is getting warmer so it's time to get the jet ski back out. My brother currently has mine at his house so I've got to get it back quick. I think it's supposed to get up to 90 degrees this weekend. We heard some great news from our Friends Fabio and Jennifer this week. I'm not privy to say because I guess the whole family doesn't know, but you can read between the lines....:)) Besides, who is going to read this anyway. I'm in the middle of a big culture shock at work right now which makes life interesting. I'm back in the hospital after four plus year of playing in the field and jumping out of airplanes. My, my........how things have changed. Dealing with Soldiers is much easier than DA Civilians. Anyway, it's a good challenge and great job. Plus, I don't have to play in the sandbox anytime soon (fingers crossed). I'm going to attach a picture from a recent adventure I had with my friend Fabio and two of his friend from a couple of months ago. We got this really great idea to go hiking in the dead of winter in one feet plus of snow..........In hindsight, it was really fun, but I almost choked my buddy Fabio out once or twice..:)) We were at Roan Mountain in TN. It's a really gorgeous place............Talk to you later...

Hello Everyone,

This is my first Blog entry into the great unknown. Shannon and I will use this to give family updates and changes as they occur. It's pretty cool also and is also a fun way to stay in touch with family and friend. Easter is around the corner and we're heading to the Beach this weekend. We're meeting Shannon's sister, Alison, and her husband Jeremy at our home away from home in Carolina Beach. I've been spending too much time looking forward to every weekend lately, but I guess it must be Spring Fever. Macy is growing like a weed everyday. She's about 44 inches tall now. Hopefully, we're going to stay put in NC for awhile. I'm not scheduled to go on another all expense paid vaction to Baghdad anytime soon. More to follow...........bye.
